After 38 years of handcrafting hot drop forged German kitchen knives, Messermeister embarked on a transformative endeavor, transitioning our expertise from indoor culinary spaces to the rugged terrain of outdoor kitchens. However, our vision extended beyond the realm of poolside outdoor kitchens; instead, we aspired to craft delectable meals over open fires in the heart of the wilderness. Our culinary philosophy revolved around simplicity, yet without compromising on the quality and taste that rival the capabilities of a fully-equipped kitchen. In late 2019, we proudly unveiled the Adventure Chef knife collection in collaboration with Chef Adam Glick, an accomplished yacht chef and avid outdoorsman. This collection introduced the world to the very first full-sized folding Chef's Knife of its kind, complemented by a folding fillet knife, camp utensil, peeler & parer, and even a folding cutting board. Building on this success, we launched our Overland Chef knife collection in 2021—a rugged ensemble of fixed blade knives designed for both campsite cooking and general outdoor use. These collections have already garnered accolades from renowned publications such as Outside Magazine, LA Times, CondeNast Traveler, Wall Street Journal, and many others.
