The three piece starter kit was a really good buy, I can't believe I actually bought it. I only wanted to get a couple of knives but after I did some research on the brand name and did some window shopping, I wanted to get a few more. The 8 inch chef knife I haven't used because I'm a little intimidated by it as I've already cut myself a couple of times with the paring knife. Be very careful, they are extremely sharp. I have my knives for life.

I like the knives, I have some Messermeister meridian already, so I know these are quality. I took one star off because the shipment arrived with the knives bouncing around in the package, the sheath was off on one of the knives, and I'm concerned about what damage might have occurred in transit. When ordering something of this quality and price, it is very disappointing to have packaging that is so poor. Packaging needs to be developed with the understanding that sales will come online and shipment is necessary to consumers. This packaging reflects poor planning, poor consumer insight, and poor execution. Get it together Messermeister!
