This knife is very high quality and superb value. If you cook from scratch a lot it means you use your paring knife many times a week. The Meridian Elite is a beautiful tool you will enjoy for decades. Also, I’ve had another Messermeister knife for over 15 years which I used daily. It developed an issue in the handle and Messermeister honored their Knife For Life policy and sent me a new one. Great knives and caring service.

I bought this in the 4-inch model, and at the same time, the Wusthof 3.5-inch model. First, I love them both. I am quite happy with both and use them both. However, one of my tests is which one do I grab first if they are both there. I grab the Messermeister one. And to top it off, my wife does also, and we don't agree on everything :-)It feels good in the hand. Is the right length. No slip. We are both happy.

I've purchased two of these and I generally love them (and all Messermeister knives), good size and weight, comfortable handle. The second one I purchased wasn't very sharp when it arrived and it came in the packaging for a much larger knife. I took it to a shop for sharpening and it is much better now.

Great everyday pairing knife and long enough to use as a boning knife for roast chicken. Holds its edge well. The handle is on the smaller side, but I absolutely recommend it as a pairing/small boning knife option.

I guess I am glad my Henckel paring knife mysteriously disappeared from my kitchen, because I replaced it with this beauty that feels very well balanced and controlled; just feels good in the hand. I may need another when my husband and I are both busy in the kitchen. Well worth the price.
