beautiful knife. great shape. super versatile. Break down fish, finely chop chives, dice onions, you name it this knife can do it!
Excellent knife. I use it for almost everything. If I didn't own a razor, I'd get another one to shave with.
I LOVE this knife. It feels solid and lightweight in my hand, but not too lightweight that it feels cheap. It cuts very easily and arrived sharp. I wish I had purchased more from the Kawashima line rather than the Oliva line personally.
absolutely the best love them all
I didn't know what a great knife was till I bought this one! It slices through anything like butter and can make paper-thin slices. I will never buy another brand EVER.
it seems that it lost a little of its sharp edge after using it twice. other than that, it's a great knife.
This has immediately become a go-to knife. (i) I keep my knives sharp, but out of the box this knife was exceptionally sharp. (ii) Its handle is outstanding. My other knives have variously shaped handles (octagonal, elliptical, etc.), and I have found them all pretty comfortable to hold, but this one fits my hand perfectly, and the combination of heft and balance work just right. (iii) The flat knife edge is taking a little getting used to--my comparable knives have some curve in their blades--but works well, and the sharp point is useful. Highly recommended.
Just a home cook here. The knife is exactly what I wanted. Feels like it was meant to be in my hand. Great feel and weight.
I love it, it's sharp, light and sharp as heck!
I like the knife a lot, and rate it highly overall. It’s incredibly sharp, as advertised. It feels very light and comfortable in the hand. It looks beautiful. I expected it to have a slightly higher profile like a santuko style knife (which is what I usually reach for), and the blade is slightly too narrow for my liking - I’d prefer a bit more clearance between my knuckles and the cutting board, and I I miss a wider blade when I go to scoop up some food after dicing it. But a great knife overall.
I liked the little 6” utility knife so much I sought out and bought it’s bigger brother.
