Filleting Fresh Fish
Despite skipping college and foregoing studying at any of the world’s most renowned culinary institutions, Shemtob’s success has never been hindered by a lack of traditional education. Daniel, like many dynamic young people, chose differently – bootstrapping his own startups, leveraging personal followings, networks and entrepreneurial savvy; and maintaining a relentless passion for savory cuisine. Shemtob is taking major risks and winning. This ambitious culinary entrepreneur has rejuvenated the approach to traditional chef business-modeling and authentic, organic brand building.
Shemtob founded the Original Lime Truck in 2010 and then expanded into multiple trucks in multiple cities. Daniel’s success began to skyrocket. The local buzz created secured an invite to participate in the Food Network series The Great Food Truck Race. The Lime Truck is not only known now for award-winning taste, but for convenience, consistency and accessibility. Enriched by experience (and a win!) on The Great Food Truck Race, this dynamic team has attained a new benchmark in culinary vision and execution. The national exposure Daniel received as well as an amazing experience in one of the most popular culinary competitions propelled him to push the limits of his brand. Presently, Shemtob’s brand empire is expanding. He is majority owner of two successful restaurants named TLT Food, recipient of some of the most prestigious culinary awards, one of the most sought-after celebrity chefs and food truck and restaurant consultants in the nation, and collaborator and endorser of numerous successful products.
Daniel’s charmingly poignant ability to forge a connection with all of his costumers derives from his genuine love for what he does. Fusing a contemporary appeal to soulful cooking as well as local, organic and sustainably sourced fresh ingredients, paired with hip, inventive recipes. Whereas that may be the entrée, the garnish is his raw, uncut, humorous personality that, simply put, makes him well liked and quite easy on the eye.
Who wouldn't love a product line that is durable, easy-to-use and reliable?
